Construction of a terminal for deportation at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah will be put out for bids after the Haj season, said Eng. Adnan Zuhairi, Director of the airport's development project. He added that the construction of the private aviation terminal to replace the Arabasco terminal in the airport's northern area was awarded to the Bin Laden Group. Zuhairi said the work on new terminals under the airport development project will start by the end of January. One of the new terminals will cover an area of 600,000 square meters with 46 gates and a capacity of 86 aircraft and 30 million passengers, he said. The development project is scheduled for completion in 2012.
