The Traffic Police has referred 39,000 car owners to the Traffic Violations Commission to investigate their involvement in breach of regulations on transporting pilgrims to the holy sites. Brigadier Sulaiman Al-Ajlan, assistant commander of Haj Security Forces, said the impounded cars will not be released until after the Haj. More than 50 percent of buses permitted to transport pilgrims in Haj were impounded for various violations, he said. He said 14,000 traffic officers will start implementing the plan of pilgrims' exit from the holy sites on Wednesday. He said that more than 77,000 vehicles parked in Arafat including 20,000 buses.
