OSCHERSLEBEN, Germany — The teenage son of former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher completed his first public test drive Wednesday. The 16-year-old Mick Schumacher was kept away from reporters who had assembled to see his official debut for the Van Amersfoort Formula 4 team. His father won a record seven Formula One titles and 91 Grand Prix in a stellar career. Michael Schumacher is still recovering from serious head injuries suffered in a skiing accident on Dec. 29, 2013. Mick Schumacher will make his Formula 4 racing debut on April 25-26 on the same course in Oschersleben. Michael Schumacher's manager called for calm as Mick stepped into the media spotlight. “My message is to be realistic with expectations,” said Sabine Kehm, who is also managing the 16-year-old's first steps on the motorsport ladder. — AP
