RIYADH — Boatloads of international relief material arrived on Wednesday at Aden port, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Al-Asiri, spokesperson of the coalition forces and adviser at the office of the minister of defense, told the media in a briefing on the 14th day of the operation Decisive Storm. “In light of turbulent conditions in a number of districts around the port of Aden due to acts of sabotage carried out by the Houthi militias and their supporters causing difficulty in the delivering of aid, we have coordinated with the People's Committees in Aden to facilitate the delivery of relief material to the beneficiaries,” he said. Asiri added that India carried out an evacuation operation on Wednesday using two planes. He denied that the Iranian government had asked the coalition forces to evacuate its citizens from Yemen. He also said that the coalition forces have not detected any movements by Iranian ships causing security threat. He said a number of rebel security commanders and several Houthi militiamen have sent requests to join the forces linked to the legitimate Yemeni government. “There are honest leaders supporting Yemen's interest, stability, security and legitimacy. The coalition command supports them and invites them to communicate with the relevant authorities,” Asiri said. He said the coalition forces operation continued on the 14th day of the campaign, targeting arms and ammunition depots. Meanwhile, the southern popular movement thanked the Kingdom and the coalition forces for supporting the resistance in repulsing the Houthi militias.
