Addressing the audience, the King said that defending the Kingdom is also defending the Holy Mosques and the Qiblah of Muslims, the Saudi Press Agency reported. “Now, I have the formal title of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and anyone who serves the holy mosques is serving his religion and country. Your country is the Qiblah of Muslims to where all Muslims turn in their prayers five times a day. Therefore, preserving the Kingdom's internal and external security and stability is the responsibility of all of us,” he said. King Salman said: “I am very happy to be with you and our forces who defend our religion and the land of the two holy mosques. Whoever defends the land of the two holy mosques, its borders and internal security, is defending the nation and the people who deserve to be ensured internal and external security.” The reception was attended by Crown Prince Muqrin, Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, second deputy premier and minister of interior; Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, minister of defense, chief of the Royal Court and special adviser to the King; and Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah, minister of the National Guard.
