Cityscape Jeddah '15 kicks off, Ewaan unveils residential projects
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 05 - 04 - 2015

For the fourth year running, leading real estate developer Ewaan Global Residential Company is participating as founding sponsor of Cityscape Jeddah where it will showcase its four major projects: Alfareeda residential project, north of Jeddah; the adjacent Almayar residential project; AlJawan, Ewaan's first residential project in Riyadh; and Ewaan's Limas gated housing project located in Alhamra district south of Jubail City.
The three-day Jeddah Urban Development and Real Estate Investment Event - Cityscape Jeddah 2015 kicks off today (April 5) at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events. The event consists of two-day Jeddah Real Estate Workshops and a three-day exhibition featuring leading real estate developers and brokers from across the GCC and other countries.
“For Ewaan, Cityscape Jeddah is one of the most important dates in our annual calendar and we are proud of our role as a founding sponsor of an event that supports the government's vision for growth in the real estate industry,” said Riyadh Al Thaqafi, CEO of Ewaan Global Residential Company.
“Over the past twelve months, we will be showcasing the tremendous progress we have made at Alfareeda, along with developments at our other three residential projects in the Kingdom.
”With Alfareeda, our flagship residential project, we upped the ante of competition in the real estate sector by achieving the highest standards of construction and finishing. As a result, we have established a Facilities and Property Management department to ensure that the quality of residential units delivered to clients exceed even their highest expectations.”
Strategically located north of Jeddah, Alfareeda is a key part of the city's urban extension, designed to provide high-quality housing for the Kingdom's citizens and residents who aspire to own quality homes at affordable prices.
At a cost of over SR1.8 billion, Alfareeda consists of more than 1,800 residential units built on one million square meters of land. The project's four zones are subdivided into 8 districts, with Zones I, II & III already having been sold out.
Alfareeda is a paragon of modern urban planning that pays careful attention to the unique aspects of Saudi family life and cultural traditions. Villas are available in various sizes and with four different architectural styles, all set amid landscaped gardens and tree-lined avenues.
The infrastructure for all four phases is fully complete and functional, including electrical power grids, water supplies, sewage systems, storm drainage and rain runoffs, as well as a fiber optics-based telecommunications network.
Phase 1 of Alfareeda, consists of 324 residential units, all of which have been sold on blueprints, with delivery to owners underway. The Phase 1 mosque is complete, and the design and master plan for the community center has been assigned to the contractor with work scheduled to commence soon.
Construction of phase two is in progress, with delivery expected to commence later this year, while work has just begun on residential units in phases three and four, the latter of which will have some advanced specifications that offer exceptional value to their owners.
Al Mayaar, adjacent to Alfareeda, will have direct frontage on Madinah Road. The overall concept of the project is to create a mixed-use, integrated community for small families and singles who will have access to all of Alfareeda's health, education, shopping and sporting facilities. Development of the project is over two phases: the infrastructure phase and community and facilities development phase.
Al Jawan is Ewaan's first residential project in Riyadh. Covering an area of 140,000 square meters, its prime location puts it in close proximity to many other major developments, where demand for housing is on the rise. The project already has all basic infrastructures in place, and Ewaan has obtained all the necessary municipal permits to develop the land as a residential villa community.
Rounding off the projects to be featured at Cityscape Jeddah is Ewaan's Limas, a gated community project located in Alhamra district south of Jubail City. Complete infrastructure facilities are already in place, making the area very suitable for residential purposes.
Demand for housing in that area has skyrocketed since the beginning of construction on a new industrial complex. Jubail Industrial City's population is expected to reach 250,000 by 2020, as opposed to today's 160,000.
Ewaan Global Residential Company is committed to supporting the government's call for the private sector to lead the drive to meet the growing demand for housing for Saudis. The company's focus is to develop affordable residences with advanced infrastructure and world-class services. — SG
