With regard to the article "Modi govt says to push for cow slaughter ban in India" (Mar. 31), the BJP, not India, will use all its "might" to ban the slaughter of cows across the country. It will not be easy to do this because Muslims, Christians and other communities will be deprived of this cheap source of protein. Moreover, such steps under the pressure of BJP political wings will lead to the creation of Hindu extremists who will try to do everything they can to deprive others of their basic rights, let alone the right to perform religious rituals.
