MALMO, Sweden — Jocelyne Lamoureux scored three goals and the United States beat Russia 9-2 Tuesday in the women's world hockey championship to finish 3-0 in Group A play. “We're right where we want to be,” Lamoureux said. “We're the No. 1 seed going into the playoff round — and we get an extra day off.” In the semifinals Friday, the defending champion Americans will face the winner of the quarterfinal between Russia and Group A winner Sweden. Canada also advanced to the semifinals, beating Finland 6-2 to finish group play at 2-1. Natalie Spooner scored twice for the Canadians. They will face the winner of the quarterfinal between Finland and Switzerland. In Pool B, Sweden beat Germany 4-0, and Switzerland topped Japan 3-0.
