ADEN — Several websites linked to Yemeni Houthi rebels crashed late Wednesday, hours before Saudi Arabia launched a military operation in the embattled country. The websites went offline right before Saudi Arabia, along with 10 other countries, conducted airstrikes targeting areas held by the Shiite militia. The military operation aims to counter Houthi militia forces who have besieged the southern city of Aden where the country's president had taken refuge. The militants took over the capital of Sanaa earlier this year, prompting President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi to submit his resignation and declaring their ascend to power a coup. Hadi then rescinded his resignation when he fled to Aden where his compound in recent days came under aerial bombardment by unidentified warplanes. — Al Arabiya News
