Gulf Print & Pack 2015 presents a peek into the future of the print and packaging industry with a showcase of the widest range of products and solutions all in one place. Gathering innovators in the print and packing industry from around the world, Gulf Print & Pack 2015 slated on April 13-16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will be inaugurated by Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director General of Dubai Information Department. “There could not have been a much better time to focus on innovation than in this year's edition of show,” said Mike Simmonds, event manager at Gulf Print & Pack. “States in the Gulf region have placed a significant emphasis on innovation as a key driver of growth, and are aggressively looking to acquire the tools and adopt industry practices that will help them achieve their goals. At Gulf Print & Pack, we will feature many exciting advances in print and packing technologies that will be useful across a wide variety of industries and business sectors.” Among those exhibiting include Tech-ni-Fold (stand F8), which will be launching three unique creasing and perforating machines that speed up the process of finishing digital print. From introducing a manual device through to an award-winning automatic version, its cost-effective CreaseStream Mini machines will educate visitors and attract business partners. The Tech-ni-Fold team will create an interactive series of demonstrations to show to visitors and potential business partners how its rotary technology can transform the way they or their customers finish their printed work. One of the world's most recognizable brands, Kodak has enhanced the Kodak Nexpress Digital Production Color Press Platform to expand its capabilities and provide printers with new options for meeting their customers' requirements. It will be showcasing a Nexpress digital press with one-meter long sheet printing capability live for first time in Middle East and Africa. The new configurations of the Kodak Nexpress Presses will include the expansion of long sheet capability, the addition of Dura Coat Mode and the inclusion of Kodak Nexpress Light Black HD Dry Ink in the Fifth Imaging Unit. An automated imaging cylinder cleaning system will also be added. Innovia Films will show its newly launched Propafilm RCU. It is the first BOPP film that has been officially proven to provide up to 1.5 years protection from mineral oil migration. Its development has been the result of proactive investigation into the mineral oil hydrocarbon (MOH) and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbon (MOAH) barrier protection of their films. It included the evaluation of films with multiple laydowns, increased coat weights and one side/two side variations. The film, besides offering excellent barrier, has superior optical properties, a low sealing threshold and a broader sealing range which makes it ideal for use in a variety of markets (biscuits, bakery, confectionery, dried foods, tea and cereals). Heidelberg will be presenting an integrated portfolio of offset and digital print solutions for commercial and packaging printing. Prinect will incorporate the digital and offset printing systems on show and the associated prepress and postpress solutions into an integrated workflow.
