Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, received here Friday night UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The two leaders discussed the latest developments in the international arena, notably the situation in Mideast and efforts of the United Nations as regards the peace process in the region as well as the role of the world body in bringing about peace in troubled areas around the world. Ban Ki-moon lauded the call of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for promoting dialogue among followers of world religions and cultures. A conference in this respect was recently held at the United Nations in which a large number of world leaders participated. The UN chief said he would follow up the outcome of that conference to realize the desired goal as regards developing the concept of coexistence and tolerance. The meeting was attended by Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh Region; Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs; and other princes and senior officials.
