For the second time in a row, Mobily provided free high-speed Internet connectivity through WiFi in the holy sites in Makkah for this year's Haj season. Mobily's data arm Bayanat is providing the service in Mina, Arafat and Musthalifah. The company brought in all the technical requirements and capabilities for the pilgrims to have near-instant connectivity, and many new areas are now covered with efficient signals. Users only need to browse for Mobily's network. They will be taken to Mobily's service page, where they can register accounts for free. They simply enter their mobile phone numbers - including the their international dialing codes - and they will get SMS messages containing their passwords. Some of the areas covered are government facilities, GCC pilgrim camps, national pilgrim camps, as well as the press area. Mobily had boosted its network capacity in the holy sites by 30 percent compared to last year's Haj by adding more stationary and mobile towers. The company also covered the Jamarat area with a fiber-optic network. The company also installed especially designed mini-towers installed inside new buildings in Mina to eliminate any stoppage. __
