Promote renewable energy

The article "Most powerful Ford Expedition launched" (Mar. 21) describes a vehicle with a "twin-turbocharged 365HP 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine." Do we need such big and powerful cars coupled with a declining oil price? I don't really think so. Instead, we should develop, market and promote public transport (car pooling, buses, trains, etc.), renewable energy and a greener environment. Gone should be the days of gas guzzling huge 4x4 SUVs. Instead, promote electric cars and biofuel technology.
