10 girls treated for shock after school fire

JEDDAH — Ten girls suffered from panic attacks after a fire broke out at Al-Khamisah Wa Al-Thamanoun Girls Middle School in Al-Rabwah District. Spokesman for Jeddah Education Affairs Abdulmajeed Al-Ghamdi said the fire began in the school doorman's kitchen when he was trying to use cooking oil on a gas stove. Civil Defense fire fighters extinguished the fire and the traumatized victims were treated on the spot. The school was evacuated and closed for the day.
