The Ninth Makkah Conference has stressed the importance of a united strategy to combat the sinister campaign against Islam in some quarters. It also focussed on ways to present the true image of Islam in non-Muslim countries. This came at the end of the three-day conference which concluded here on Tuesday night. The conference recommended Islamic countries to chalk out and execute a comprehensive plan to introduce Islam to non-Muslim countries. It undertook to convey Islamic message of peace to all non-Muslim countries so as to make them understand the true Islamic message which calls for peace, tranquillity, and coexistence. The conference assured support to all the Muslim organizations and provide them literature in different languages to introduce Islam to all non-Muslims. The Muslim World League urged the delegates attending the conference to enhance their cooperation with it and other Muslim organizations in forming educational academies and in launching a television program in different languages to propagate Islamic teachings. In his concluding speech, Dr. Abdullah Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General of Muslim World League, drew attention of Islamic scholars on the need to work on new strategies to face the campaign against Islam. He said it was imperative to clear all hurdles in propagation of Islam and recommended the scholars to strengthen their contacts with universities and research centers for Islamic dialogue. The conference hoped that the Muslims will use all available resources to counter the malicious propaganda against Islam.
