The family of a murdered Saudi pardoned the killer on Tuesday in the office of Prince Faisal Bin Khaled Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Asir Region. Matter Bin Mashouf Bin Malhawi Al-Qahtani was pardoned for killing Saeed Bin Mushabab Al-Zubna Al-Qahtani six years ago. The pardon came after the aggrieved family responded to an appeal from King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Emir extended his thanks to the King for his mediation in getting the pardon. He also lauded the victim's father for his exemplary compassion. The father said his pardon is for Allah's sake and his recognition of the King's humanity and the Emir's plea.
