Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH – Tunnels will be constructed at the intersection of Madinah Road and Prince Muhammad Street (Tahliya) to ease traffic flow, Jeddah Mayor Hani Abu Ras has said. “The municipality will soon make an announcement in this regard,” he said while opening the bridge at the intersection between Madinah Road and Halima Al-Saadiyah Street. The 580-meter-long and 40-meter wide bridge with four lanes in each direction is located south of the Royal Terminal bridge and it is the 23rd tunnel and flyover project opened in the city over the last few years, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. This was the third project implemented to facilitate smooth traffic flow along Madinah Road. Two flyover projects at the intersections of Sari Street and Amal Street have already been inaugurated. Six tunnel and flyover projects are under various phases of implementation, the mayor said.
