The Saudi Council for Health Specialties said it has discovered 758 cases of forged certificates among 57 doctors, 243 pharmacists, 188 nurses, 71 optics therapists, 39 lab technicians, 17 therapists, 63 dental technicians, 20 radiology technicians, 14 anesthesiology practitioners, 13 in charge of surgery preparations, 8 cardiographers, and a number of workers in artificial limps, medical records, midwifery and the blood bank. The Council's secretary general, Dr. Hussien Bin Mohammad Al-Fraihi, said the forged documents were discovered during the process of documenting and classification, noting that 11,767 health practitioners were banned from practice.
