Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Qatar Airways announced Saturday that the sixth edition of the Qatar International Food Festival is due to be held at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park on March 24 to 28, 2015. The annual event consists of five days of gastronomic alfresco eating, drinking and cooking, as well as family fun and entertainment. The festival hosts internationally renowned chefs who join many of Doha's top restaurants to celebrate fine dining with the freshest ingredients and latest food trends and tastes, as well as healthy eating options. As the Qatari government's tourism planning and promotion arm, QTA works in partnership with stakeholders to plan, regulate and promote the development of a sustainable and mature tourism sector that contributes to Qatar's future and positions the country as a leading tourism destination. Chaired by Issa Bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, QTA works on showcasing all that Qatar has to offer, reinforcing the country's position on the world tourism map as a premium destination for authentic experiences, business facilitation, and family-focused recreation. — SG
