This refers to the post “A woman must travel with a guardian” (Feb. 8). In Islam it is mandatory and not an option. There is no room for opinions as the Hadith is clear: Sahih Bukhari 3:85, as narrated by Ibn Abbas. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “A woman should not travel except with a guardian (mahram), and no man may visit her except in the presence of a guardian (mahram).” A man got up and said, “O Allah's Apostle!
