The Mosque of the Prophet (pbuh) and His Message is the title of Lina Gazzaz's art exhibition at Alamyia Gallery in Jeddah. Saturday is the last day of the exhibition which opened on Nov. 19. The exhibition, sponsored by Focus Advertising, attracted large number of media persons, diplomatic corps from US, Algeria and Sudan, artists and art enthusiasts. Gazzaz is exhibiting 28 paintings representing a new style of Islamic art expressed through strong lines and bold colors. As a professional artist with a specialized degree in Studio Art, Gazzaz draws figures, portraits and buildings using different kinds of media. She has received many medals and prizes including the Painting Award at Dubai's First Annual Festival of Love (Al-Mahabba). She has also held several personal exhibitions in the United States and participated in a number of group exhibitions in and outside the Kingdom. Her personal exhibition at UNESCO Palace in Lebanon was the first by a Saudi contemporary woman artist in the country.
