Annika Sorenstam warned Asia Thursday that she doesn't like losing as her International team prepared to avenge their drubbing last year in the season-ending Lexus Cup. The veteran Swede is playing her penultimate tournament before retiring from a game she dominated for so long. “I don't like finishing second,” she declared. “Having said that Asia played well last year and there were some tough matches, but we are very determined to bring the cup back.” The tournament gets underway with foursomes on Friday. Last year in Perth Asia won the opening day 6-0. Sweden's Helen Alfredsson and her partner America's Cristina Kim have been entrusted with getting the Internationals off to a better start here. They go out first against US Open winner Park In-Bee and her Korean compatriot Kim Song-hee. Sorenstam, who plays with American Angela Stanford and was drawn against Taiwan's Candie Kung and Korea's Jang Jeong, believes her team is more than capable of pulling off a victory. Also on the team is world number four Paula Creamer, the vice captain, fifth-ranked Suzann Pettersen of Norway and experienced Americans Cristie Kerr, Nicole Castrale and Natalie Gulbis. Others in the lineup are England's Karen Stupples and Australian pair Katherine Hull and Nikki Campbell. While the drive to win remains with Sorenstam, she is also determined to enjoy herself. Team Asia is skippered by Korean icon Pak Se-ri, who heads a strong lineup including Yani Tseng from Taiwan, Koreans Lee Seon-Hwa, Choi Na-Yeon, Ji Eun-Hee and Sarah Lee, and Japan's Mayumi Shimomura and Namika Omata.
