MOSCOW — Three Russian Olympic champion race-walkers have been provisionally suspended as part of an investigation into doping in Russian athletics, according to the IAAF. The three are Sergei Kirdyapkin, who won gold in the men's 50-km race at the 2012 London Olympics, and Valery Borchin and Olga Kaniskina, who won men's and women's 20-km gold at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. The three are among five Russian walkers who have been under investigation since late 2012, International Association of Athletics Federations spokesman Chris Turner told the Associated Press. The other two are Sergei Bakulin and Vladimir Kanaykin, who won gold and silver medals at the 2011 world championship. — AP
