The Grievances Board in Jeddah has suspended a Domestic Haj Violations Committee ruling against a company providing Haj package services until a final court verdict has been issued in the company's dispute with the Ministry of Haj. The Haj package company took up the case against the ministry after its violations committee suspended the company for one pilgrimage season, fined it SR80,000 and ordered it to return SR63,000 to 21 pilgrims for failing to provide the service for which it was paid. The company objected that the ruling did not specify the alleged violations or reveal the information on which the decision was based. The company further said that previous alleged fraudulent operations of which the company had been accused had also been shown to be untrue. The company therefore asked that the Grievances Board suspend the ruling until the court case between the company and the ministry had been completed.
