Shoura Council to vote on seasonal work visas Monday

RIYADH – The Shoura Council on Monday will vote on a draft law that will limit the maximum duration of work visas for seasonal and temporary jobs to four months.

Prior to the voting, the council will listen to the viewpoints of the committee for administration and human resources on the matter.

While taking part in the deliberations on the draft law, several members suggested that the issuance of temporary work visas not be restricted to the Haj season. They said labor offices in each province should be given powers to decide which jobs are to be classified as seasonal ones.
