The Philanthropic Depot in Madina has served more than 2.7 million meals to pilgrims since the beginning of this month. The “Al-Madina Gift for Pilgrims and Visitors” program sees over 280 workers at the depot work round-the-clock with 150 packing meals and the rest engaged in distribution and administrative work. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Jarbouae, Director of Seasonal Projects at the depot, said that the depot had distributed more than 2 million meals of milk, juice, pastry, dates and water to incoming and departing pilgrims. Depot supervisor Faiz Al-Ahmadi said depot workers have also served more than 10,713 pilgrim buses with over 567,794 passengers. The meals will continue to be served until Dec. 13.
