Microelectronics conference set DUBAI - Sahara Group has announced its sponsorship of the 20th International Conference on Microelectronics, which will be held at the College of Engineering, University of Sharjah, on Dec. 14- 17, under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and supreme president of the University of Sharjah. The conference is being held in the emirate of Sharjah for the first time, after it has roamed various countries in the Middle East and across Asia for the last 19 years, attracting scientists and engineers from all over the globe to engage in workshops and open discussions in a communicative environment. The 20th ICM event is organized by University of Sharjah and the University of Waterloo, Canada, in cooperation with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The sponsorship from Sahara Group, which includes numerous companies working in the fields of engineering, media consultancy and marketing, is an effort by Sahara to develop the skills of those working in the field of electrical and electronic engineering, as well as other related fields. In addition, the focus is to stay up date with the latest technologies in engineering and technology, as these fields are key to the growth of various economical sectors.
