ranked Oklahoma brought an unceremonious end to No. 2 Texas Tech's perfect run in a 65-21 blowout in college football on Saturday. Sam Bradford threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns, and DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown combined to run for five more scores, and the question now is this: Did the Sooners do enough to make up for that loss to Texas to jump back into the national championship race with No. 1 Alabama? No. 4 Texas was idle this week, but has held a trump card over Oklahoma since winning their annual Red River Rivalry game in October 45-35 on a neutral field at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. No. 3 Florida 70, Citadel 19: At Gainesville, Florida, Tim Tebow threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns and Chris Rainey ran for 142 yards and a score. Florida became the first Southeastern Conference team to score at least 42 points in six consecutive games. The Gators finished with 705 yards and did little wrong against an overmatched opponent from the Football Championship Subdivision. No 7 Penn State 49, No. 17 Michigan State 18: At State College, Pennsylvania, Joe Paterno said he doesn't intend for his 43rd season as head coach to be his last after leading Penn State to a share of the Big Ten title and a first trip the Rose Bowl in 13 years. Daryll Clark threw for career-highs of 341 yards and four touchdowns and Penn State's stingy defense held running back Javon Ringer to a season-low 42 yards. No. 8 Utah 48, No. 16 BYU 24: At Salt Lake City, Brian Johnson passed for 303 yards and four touchdowns and Utah completed a perfect regular season by winning the heated state rivalry and taking the undisputed Mountain West Conference title away from two-time defending champion BYU. Utah forced five turnovers by BYU quarterback Max Hall, including a career-high four interceptions, and went unbeaten in the regular season at 12-0 for the third time in school history. No. 9 Boise State 41, Nevada 34: At Reno, Nevada, Kellen Moore threw for 414 yards and three touchdowns and unbeaten Boise State kept the nation's best rushing offense in check to remain undefeated. Boise State clinched its sixth WAC title in seven years. The Broncos close the regular season next Friday at home against Fresno State. No. 10 Ohio St. 42, Michigan 7: At Columbus, Ohio, Ohio State won its fifth straight over Michigan for the first time and won by the biggest margin in the rivalry in 40 years for a share of its fourth straight Big Ten title.
