South Korea's Shin Ji-Yai won the one million-dollar top prize at the LPGA's season-ending ADT Championship, firing a two-under par 70 here Sunday to win an eight-woman, 18-hole showdown. Shin, the 20-year-old British Women's Open champion, who also won two weeks ago in Japan, shared fifth after Saturday's round but all prior scores were wiped out for the Sunday shootout at the 6,523-yard Trump International course. Serving notice to the LPGA Tour she will join next year, Shin followed her major triumph by taking the biggest prize in women's golf by one stroke over Australian veteran Karrie Webb. American Paula Creamer, a questionable starter after severe abdominal pain Saturday night, and South Korean Seon Hwa Lee shared third on 74, one stroke ahead of Korean Ji Eun-Hee. American Angela Stanford was sixth after firing a 78, one stroke better than Norway's Suzann Pettersen and Korean Jeong Jang. Armour takes 5-stroke lead Defending champion Tommy Armour III birdied the final two holes, holing a 30-footer on the 18th, to take a five-stroke lead over Rich Beem in the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational on Saturday. The 49-year-old Armour, a two-time US PGA Tour winner, shot a 7-under 65 at Pebble Beach en route to a 14-under 202 total. He had six birdies, an eagle and a bogey. Beem, the 2002 US PGA Championship winner, shot a 68, also at Pebble Beach. He had four birdies, an eagle and two bogeys. The 37th annual tournament features players from the four major tours as well as mini tour players, club pros and amateurs competing on teams. Champions Tour and US LPGA Tour entrants receive distance advantages on tee shots. Former US Open winner Scott Simpson of the Champions Tour had a 66 at Del Monte. He was 8 under along with Bryce Molder, the Nationwide Tour player who had a 69 at Spyglass Hill.
