More than 300 children have registered their membership to the Hanoon Club, a center set up to help children obtain and increase their awareness of human rights as children. The club, approved by the Ministry of Social Affairs, is the first center in the Kingdom to offer rehabilitation, training and treatment services to child victims of domestic violence. En'am Al-Rabou'ee, chairwoman of the center, said it aimed to increase children's awareness of their rights in Islam and help them understand the founding principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The center also encourages children to express themselves and help them in character building. “We give them the chance to talk about their fears, aspirations and ideas. Children and teenagers all have the opportunity to take part,” she said.
