RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has sent a cable to President Mamnoon Hussain of Pakistan, conveying condolences on the death of scores of people, mostly children, in Tuesday's terrorist attack on school in Peshawar. “We came to know with severe pain about the terrorist attack at one of the army public schools in your country, which killed many people and wounded several others. We strongly condemn these criminal acts,” the King said in the cable. King Abdullah conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Pakistan. While wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded, the King prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, give patience to their bereaved relatives and to protect the people of Pakistan from further harm. Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, also sent a similar cable to the Pakistan president, the Saudi Press Agency reported. — SG/SPA
