Aisha Abdul Hadi, Egyptian Minister of Manpower and Immigration, has announced that Egyptian officials have reached a new agreement with the Kingdom for the work contracts of Egyptian doctors. Hadi said the agreement stated that new contracts would be issued for Egyptian doctors to work in the Kingdom in order to avoid ambiguities and disputes. The aim is also to protect the rights of all parties and commitments made by both the Egyptian and Saudi sides. The agreement came after several meetings between the private hospitals and polyclinics section of the Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Kingdom and the labor consultants in Jeddah and Riyadh. In a report in Al-Ahram Friday, Hadi said new contracts with Egyptian doctors would be signed according to the agreement, and that Saudi Arabia was keen for contracts for all professions to be through work contracts that guarantee moral rights and full adherence to contractual salaries.
