Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc has revealed plans to launch three properties in Saudi Arabia - Four Points by Sheraton Dhahran, Four Points by Sheraton Mall of Arabia (Jeddah) and Aloft Riyadh. Four Points by Sheraton Dhahran, which is located in close proximity to the Mall of Dhahran, houses 236 rooms and suites in different categories ranging from Deluxe Rooms to Executive Suites. It will also offer a fitness center, swimming pool, two restaurants, a lobby lounge, gift shop and 3000 sq ft of meeting/conference space. It is expected to open in 2010. Four Points by Sheraton Mall of Arabia, Jeddah will come up by 2010 via a management contract with the Alhokair Group. Located in close proximity to the airport, the 300 room property will offer a business center plus over 3000 sq ft of meeting/conference space. It will also provide a fitness center, swimming pool, pool bar, two restaurants and a lobby lounge. The hotel will be connected to the Mall of Arabia in Jeddah. Designed with David Rockwell and the Rockwell Group, the 225 room Aloft Riyadh will provide amenities like a bar, one stop F&B area, splash pool, office and entertainment center, fitness center and large public spaces. Scheduled to open in 2011, rooms will feature facilities by Bliss Spa. The three new hotels bring Starwood's portfolio to 13 hotels in Saudi Arabia. Starwood aims for around 500 properties in the Europe, Africa and Middle East region by 2013.
