Wanted man arrested in Awamiyyah

QATIF — Security forces arrested a man wanted in connection with various crimes in Awamiyyah town in Qatif governorate Thursday evening, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.
Salim Abdullah Bin Hussein Abu Abdullah was wanted for his involvement in a random shooting incident in the town, the ministry's security spokesman said. He also targeted a diplomatic car belonging to the German Embassy. Abu Abdullah resisted arrest and threatened the officers with a firearm.
The officers shot and wounded him as he tried to escape, the spokesman said, adding that he was taken to hospital for treatment. He said two other people were also arrested.
