EGYPT Air appointed recently Ahmed Shahin as its new general manager of Egypt Air in Saudi Arabia replacing Jamal Al Jazar, who was also recently appointed as the general manager of Egypt Air in Germany. Shahin will lead the further development of Egypt Air's commercial strategy in Saudi Arabia, ensuring the continued success of the airline's business in this part of the world. Shahin previously served as general manager for local and international units in Egypt Air in Cairo and headed the pilgrimage missions for the past two years. Taking over Al Jazar's former responsibilities, Shahin will oversee the airline's commercial activities in the Kingdom and carry out the new task for further development. Commenting on his appointment, Shahin said: “Saudi Arabia has been for a long time a key market for us ever since. I am excited about the opportunity to further develop our presence in the Kingdom.” He added "I am excited about working for Egypt Air as its general manager and look forward to further establishing our strong brand and service in the market while working closely with our trade partners and local industry stakeholders to build on our current success."
