Scrap sponsor's consent for the Haj – rights body

The National Human Rights Society (NHRS) wants sponsor's consent for a Muslim expatriate to go for the Haj scrapped. The proposal to this effect made by NHRS to the authorities concerned notes that not all business owners are adhering to the Labor Law which grants expatriates Haj holidays, said Dr. Meflih Al-Qahtani, NHRS deputy president. He said NHRS members are in the field investigating companies. He also said that NSHR is pressing for abolishing the foreign-labor sponsorship system.
