DUBAI — A teacher recruitment company that found a job for an American woman killed in the United Arab Emirates has released her name as authorities in the in Gulf nation continue to appeal for tips about her murder. Vancouver, British Columbia-based Footprints Recruiting on Thursday identified the slain teacher as Ibolya Ryan, saying it had placed her in the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi. According to police, she was stabbed in a public restroom at a mall in Abu Dhabi by a suspect wearing the full black veil commonly worn by women throughout the Gulf Arab region. Footprints Recruiting called the killing a “senseless tragedy,” adding that it is awaiting results of the police investigation. — AP
