The Ministry of Health has provided medicines and medical equipment worth SR100 million for hospitals and health centers at the holy sites and entry points to the Kingdom. Khalid Abdul Rahman Al-Hussein, Chairman of the Haj Medical Supplies and Equipment Committee, said that all the Kingdom's entry points had been supplied with vaccines, medicines and specialist doctors to provide pilgrims with the required medical services. “The Haj Medical Supplies Committee has mobilized 800 male and female employees to carry out the plan,” Al-Hussein said. “A system has also been set up to link the committee up electronically to the ministry and Makkah and Madina hospitals, health and medical centers, to oversee the distribution of medicines and health facility operations.” Al-Hussein added that a medical supply warehouse in Arafat and smaller hospital warehouses at the holy sites had been fully stocked to ensure medicines reach destinations as quickly as possible.
