JEDDAH — Connected (Art in Airport), will be launched at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) on December 1st, 2014. The exhibition is part of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA)'s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, in cooperation with Art Jameel, an initiative of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives (ALJCI), and the Saudi Art Association. Seeking to introduce Contemporary Saudi art to the travelers departing and arriving at KAIA, the one-month exhibition will display 35 art works by Saudi artists from all over the Kingdom. Art works will vary in sizes, while the exhibition will be open throughout the day. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Khaybary, general manager of PR and Media at GACA, pointed out that is always seeking to contribute in such community events and art and cultural exhibition organized by specialized organizations. Al-Khaybary said that launching "Connected" in cooperation with Art Jameel and the Saudi Art Association indicates that the Saudi society supports art and creative artists who start creative projects that highlight cultures and traditions of the Kingdom. He added that "Connected" will also be organized at other airports in the Kingdom. He went to say that GACA support to the initiative comes in line with its CSR program. GACA is seeking to communicate with all categories of the society through cultural and art events. He said that the increasing number of travelers through Saudi airports has motivated GACA to support Connected (Art in Airport) exhibition. — SG
