JEDDAH — Virgin Mobile switched on its next generation mobile service in Saudi Arabia, making Virgin Mobile numbers active and Virgin Mobile pre-paid and post-paid plans available across the Kingdom.

Virgin Mobile began its campaign to change the way mobile operators do business and to make mobile better in Saudi Arabia when it was awarded a Mobile Virtual Network Operator license from the CITC in April 2014.
At a press conference that here in Jeddah recently, Karim Benkirane, Chief Executive of Virgin Mobile in Saudi Arabia, said “we share a collective goal, to Make Mobile Better, one phone and one plan at a time.”
He added “we will do this by not only bringing innovation to the market, such as our 3 SIM multi device welcome pack, but also offering the simplest and most transparent prepaid and post-paid offer in the Kingdom.
Our talented young Saudi Arabian team has been working very hard to prepare every detail of the Virgin Mobile experience. We now are all looking forward to delightfully surprising Virgin Mobile members every day.”
“I salute the telecoms regulator in Saudi Arabia, CITC, for their vision in developing the telecoms industry,” said Benkirane.
“We are very proud that Virgin Mobile is in the forefront of this revolution in the Saudi Arabian market, just as we have been in 11 previous markets.
Today CITC's vision is becoming reality, and the ones who will benefit most are Saudi Arabian telecoms consumers as competition will improve services,” he further said.
