JAZAN — Abu Arish Municipality seized 468 kilograms of rotten frozen fish that was loaded in a distribution truck. A spokesman for the local authority said the vehicle was caught by the municipality's inspectors. All of the fish was discarded, the warehouse where the truck came from was shut down and its owner was fined. Meanwhile, Qurayyat Municipality seized 2,582 kilograms of tangerines as they had fruit worms in them. Head of the municipality's health department Abdulaziz Al-Musad said the department received orders to inspect fruit and vegetables sold in the market, specifically tangerines, in cities and villages in the governorate.
