Over 400 experts and consultants – both men and women – in pediatric medicines are participating in the three-day first international neonatology conference which began here on Monday. The conference is aimed at developing scientific researches associated with pediatric medicines and to discuss the recent health care studies, especially for premature babies. Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Executive Manager for health affairs at the National Guard and Director for King Saud University, said the establishment of the first King Abdullah Hospital for Children showed the keenness of the Kingdom to serve the society and provide excellent health care facilities to children of all ages. On second and the third day, the conference will discuss how to avoid jaundice and bacterial inflammation, the most common diseases among the newborn babies. – SG __
