Efforts have been intensified to locate an Egyptian fisherman and his boat that left Al-Qunfudha last Monday. Brig. Gen. Hussein Ahmed Al-Faqih, Commander of the Frontier Guard Sector Command in Al-Qunfudha Governorate, said the fisherman had been granted a 72-hour permit for Umm Al-'Asham Island in the south of Al-Qunfudha, and had failed to return. Helicopters have been sent out along with volunteer fishermen to lead the search operation and fishermen have been asked to remain alert for any signs of the missing vessel. Al-Faqih said that the Red Sea coast had been hit by several storms in recent days, suggesting that the fisherman may have lost his way while returning to the port. – Okaz/SG __
