FBGR: First Telecom ABB, Arocena and Melgar sizzle

Once again, the First Telecom ABB Tribe unleashed its fiery form to capture its third back-to-back best team award while Marvin Arocena and Esther Melgar shared bowling spotlight by bagging the male and female bowlers of the week awards in the 14th week of the Riyadh International School (RIS) Saturday Family Bowling League.
The league is organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). Also supporting the event is the ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC).
The dynamic duo of Louie Laguardia and Mel Solas led by posting separate series of 831 and 800 points respectively while Glenn Espiritu, Betsy Costumbrado and Larry Baleros tallied 791, 743 and 700. First Telecom ABB remained at the topof standings.
Dennis Mendoza and Fe Ricalde rocked the lanes to score 794 and 762 points respecively in Manila Bistro. Next best came from Thong Asuncion with 624 series in three games. Gigi Enriquez and Manie Isles had 492 and 472 while Victor Edan sealed 317 points.
It was the heroics of Marvin Arocena who powered Conor Express Cargo past D'Educators, 13-5. Lefty Arocena toppled a four-game series of 836 on lines of 225, 184, 234 and 181.
It won him the Male Bowler of Week award. Joel Lambo, Ellen Bernabe and Ben Valdez had separate series of 671, 666 and 628 points respectively. Team mentor Danny Gonzales and Zaldy Torres added 390 and 344.
Topscoring in D'Educator was the durable Fred Dioquino with 716 points and he was followed by Cecille Solomon (676), Rollie Cleofe (675), Edith Hatcha (668) and Rizal Dellosa (664).
The exciting game between G.I. Joe's II and Mitsubishi Elevators resulted at 12-10, in favor of the G.I. Joe's. Esther Melgar, Female Bowler of the Week, was at the helm in G.I. Joe's II by pouring a four-game series of 764 while Buddy Balisi, Cas Encila and Doy del Moral produced separate series of 770, 759 and 706.
Fareed Aquino chipped in 561 series in three outings.
In other games, Marnny's Bowlers subdued Pares-Pares, 13-1, Castrol-Alkhorayef rolled past Karambola 12-4 and Samba Financial Group nipped Riyadh International School, 8-6.
First Telecom ABB Tribe, Jojo Miraflor and Fe Ricalde, both playing with the G.I. Joe's II and The Manila Bistro teams captured the best team, best male and female bowlers of the week awards respectively in the 13th week.
First Telecom ABB Tribe put an end to fighting Pares-Pares team with a 15-2 victory.
In other matches, Conor Express Cargo sealed a 14-6 victory against G.I. Joe's II, Riyadh International School (RIS) demolished Karambola 15-2, Samba Financial Group nipped Hill International 11-7, Manila Bistro pulverized D'Educators 14-1, Mitsubishi Elevators dumped Castrol-Alkhorayef, 14-1.
