The Embassy of India, in collaboration with the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce & Industry, organized a multi-sectoral catalogue exhibition, INDIA CATEX - 2008, at the Chamber premises in Dammam last Monday. The exhibition showcased catalogues, CDs and other publicity materials from Indian companies from various sectors. The trade relations between India and Saudi Arabia go back over several centuries. Today, India is the fifth largest trading partner for Saudi Arabia. The bilateral trade in 2007-08 was $16.5 billion. Saudi Arabia is the 12th largest market in the world for Indian exports and is destination of more than 2.05% of India's global export. The Kingdom is the source of 7.21% of India's global imports (excluding oil). Indian investment in Saudi Arabia is $1097.06 million involved in 108 services and 82 industrial projects. Saudi investment in India is $228.83 million.
