Garcia steers Almarai to team award

Class B player Onar Garcia equipped with 8 handicaps per game posted a series of 829 on lines of 210, 180, 205 and 202 to win the Bowler of the Week award. It also helped Almarai capture the Team of the Week honor in the 29th week of the FBGR Thursday Bowling League, 7th Conference at the InterCon Riyadh Hotel Bowling Alley. The league is sponsored by Almarai Company. ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC) is also supporting the event.
Almarai team wrested the honor by humbling Take All, 15-3 through the fiery performance of Garcia. Others who dazzled in Almarai were Marlon Pagulayan and Jonathan Banayag who shot separate series of 754 and 704. Jun Daniel and Romy Cabrillas seared lanes to share 687 and 683 points respectively.
Posting the best score in the undermanned Take All was Saju with 765 points and he was followed by Cynthia Bacala (707), Hani Al-Nasleh (680) and Gina Buyson (622).
Fuji Elevators rolled blanked D'Bagitos in straight four games, 15-0 and saw Wilson Bacala, Gerard Austria and Chito Llagas lead in Fuji Elevators by tallying 709, 706 and 700. Thong Asuncion submitted 661 points while Boy Mirando and Ruel Toledo added 412 and 367 points.
Fahad Al-Haza topscored in Take All by knocking down 660 points. Mario Salvador had 659 and he was followed by Omar Valdez with 654 and Bon Buyson (651). Richard Feria scored 318 series in two games.
Ericsson dumped LHC, 14-1 through the good games of Rocky Manipon (765), Arnold Marchan (749), Padi Padilla (743) and Emil Rances (720).
At the helm in the LHC team, having a blind player, was Sydney Kawi with 768. Ruben Tan rolled 735 and Sonny Alviso 705.
Other results: Eraserheads bt D'Incredibowls 13-5, Gran Matador Revolution bt Five vs. Five 12-9, Stesa-Thales bt Itaktak Mo 11-8.
Arnel Gordovez splashed his deadly form to help Eraserheads bag the back-to-back Team of the Week award and also emerge as the Bowler of the Week in the 28th week. Gordovez pulverized the undermanned Itaktak Mo 19-2. In other games, Ericsson brushed aside Stesa-Thales 14-7, Saudi British Bank rolled past Gran Matador Revolution 13-6, Alsalam Aicraft defeated Fuji Elevators, D'Incredibowls nipped Orbit Pinoy Plus 10-6 and the game between Take All and D'Bagitos ended at 7-all.
