A Pakistani national died and four of his compatriots injured on Friday as their Honda Accord car crashed into the iron barrier on the roadside of Al-Hijra Road, 150 km toward Madina. The dead Pakistani, Radhwan Muhammad Saleem, 25, was driving the car at the time of the accident. Civil Defense men from Al-Hamnah exerted great efforts to remove the trapped dead man and the four injured passengers from the twisted car wreck. They used saws and loppers to cut the twisted iron to reach the accident victims and used powerful torches and flashlights to search for the amputated hand of the driver. The hand was eventually found some 30 meters away from the scene of the accident. The injured were rushed to a hospital. – Okaz/SG __
