kg man in his late 40s have called on the humans rights bodies in the Kingdom to help transfer their obese son to a government hospital after a fall which left him in a coma. The family said that they have reached an agreement with the Ministry of Health to treat him free of charge at one of its hospitals in Jeddah. A team of ten men failed to move the man when he fell down the stairs, a family member said. The Red Crescent was then called, but the misery of the man continued when hospitals refused to take him in as a special case. One private hospital finally admitted him with the help of civil defense staff who carried him to a special room in the emergency section on the ground floor using a forklift truck. The smaller elevators at the hospital were not able to carry his weight to the upper floor rooms. Medical staff at the private hospital said that the man was a diabetic with high blood pressure and a clogged left lung. The man is 250 kg lighter than the world's heaviest man, Mexican Manuel Uribe, who has entered the Guinness Book of Records for his weight of 560 kg. – Okaz/SG __
