Peace – The Solution for Humanity, a 10-day international Islamic conference and exhibition in Urdu and Hindi is starting today. The Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), headed by Dr. Zakir Naik – a renowned speaker on comparative religion, is organizing the event from Nov. 14-23. More than 30 renowned scholars and speakers from India and abroad are taking part. From Saudi Arabia, Dr. Wasiullah Abbas, teacher at the Grand Mosque and professor at Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, has been invited. Indian Muslim leaders like Fuzailur Rahman Qasmi, Jalaluddin Umri, Ashfaque Salafi and Muqeem Faizi are also taking part. The event includes a unique Islamic exhibition that has over 300 panels and 50 models explaining the message of Islam. The panels and models were designed and produced by the Peace Organizing Committee in Chennai, India, where they had first organized Peace – Vision of Islam, an exhibition and convention, in 2003. The IRF was also a part of that event. Last year the IRF had organized a similar event which included English speakers from several countries. Thousands of Muslims and non-Muslims visited the convention last year.
