JEDDAH — Almighty Allah has bestowed the Kingdom with the honor of serving the pilgrims and we must work hard to ensure their safety and comfort, Makkah Emir Prince Mishaal Bin Abdullah has said. He said: “Standing instructions from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince are to exert maximum efforts to provide the guests of Allah with consummate services enabling them to perform their rituals in ease and comfort. “We will take good care of the pilgrims from the moment of their arrival in our country until they go back to their respective countries.” Prince Mishaal made the statements after a tour on Monday of the Haj terminals at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. During the tour, the emir inspected the work of the staff in the Haj terminals. He asked them to be hospitable and welcome pilgrims and process their passport work quickly. The prince started his tour by visiting Hall No. 13 where he welcomed some arriving pilgrims and distributed gifts among them. He then visited Hall D where a number of government and private departments involved in Haj services are located. They include the Ministry of Health, Passports Department (Jawazat), customs department, the United Agents' Office and others. Prince Mishaal asked all employees to make every effort to provide excellent services to the pilgrims. He also visited the health center set up by the Health Ministry to check for any possible Ebola cases and pilgrims who may be carrying other contagious diseases. He also visited the main operations room. After his tour, Prince Mishaal chaired a meeting of the Central Haj Committee. The meeting reviewed statistics about the number of pilgrims who have arrived so far through various air, sea and land inlets. The meeting also discussed the readiness of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) and the Jawazat for this year's Haj season.
